FORUM 3000 is a compact conference system, easy-to-use and cost-effective solution for small and medium size meetings venues, where PRO audio quality, but a basic microphone management are required.

The MMU 3100 master unit includes all the features necessary to set-up a meeting for up to 80 microphone sets. Recording output and playback input are present as well, together with a dedicated input and output for teleconference system interfacing. The unit is able to provide 80W on its 100V or 70V output for the connection of additional sound reinforcement speakers present in the room.
One line level output is available too, for the link to an independent sound reinforcement system. User controls are on front panel and include volume levels for inputs and powered outputs, directed to the reinforcement speakers integrated in each microphone console and to the ones connected to the amplifier direct output. Two devices MMU 3100 can be linked through a dedicated port, to expand the number of the delegate microphones to 160.

The desk-top chairman microphone console MMS 3405P features two buttons: a latched button to enable the microphone in mixed mode with other active MMS 3404D delegate microphone consoles, and a momentary push button to get the microphone working in priority mode on delegate ones, that stay off till the button has been is released. This function allows the chairman to take the absolute control of the speech. 

Each button is completed with a LED indicator, lit when pressed. Furthermore the microphone capsule has an LED ring that is ON when the microphone is active. The 46 cm gooseneck microphone mounted on the console has a cardioid pattern, while the miniature high quality transducer assures a good sound reinforcement in small size rooms without needing an additional sound reinforcement system. 

Two or more MMS 3405P can be cascaded by keeping cascaded priority precedence, over than preserving mixed speech option facility. MMS 3405P is wired directly to the dedicate input of the MMU 3100 unit by means of CAT 5FTP cable provided.

The desktop delegate microphone set MMS 3404D features a latched button to enable the microphone in mixed mode with other active MMS 3404D and MMS 3405P (if no priority button has been pressed on chairman’s set). The button is completed with a LED indicator, lit when pressed.

The DMU 6100 the heart of the system allowing the direct connection of up to 60 microphone sets on two lines. Specific tools are available on the DM 6100 to test the correct wiring and operation of the system to help installation and maintenance. The status is available on the LCD, including advice of the type of consoles connected. From the front panel of the main unit LCD, function buttons and LEDs help the installer and the user in adjusting all the parameters and volumes, while a speaker and a ¼” jack work as audio monitoring

One type of consoles is available; Through DIP switches you can configure it as Chairman, Delegate or Interpreter. An added value feature the RCF Forum 6000 System has an integrated single language interpretation facility; simultaneous or sequential Listening to the translated language is achieved using the headphone sockets available on each microphone set. 

The consoles configured as an interpreter can be one or two, linked to the dedicated RJ connectors on the main unit DMU 6100. Interpreters work using the console microphone and console sockets for headphone. Speak slowly command is available and lights-up an LED on the active microphone. When configured the ‘Delegate Console’ has a microphone button and mute facility, in ‘Chairman Mode’ the system offers talk and priority buttons that, if pushed together cancel the active microphones on the system for override purposes. 

Delegate and Chairman talk buttons are smart buttons working both as PTT or PTL (push to lock) according respectively to a long or short pressure of the buttons. On the president console a chime-tone can be associated to a priority activation of the chairman priority button; the chime sound can be also activated through terminals available on the rear panel of the master unit. 

Audio quality is assured by a professional gooseneck hyper-cardioid microphone that, according to the version is screwed directly into the base (fixed installations) or plugged through an XLR connector (rental/portable) and a high efficiency high intelligibility full-range speaker with neodymium magnet. Volume control is adjusted by push-buttons.

The DEC 6104 board is to be installed into the DMU 6100 main unit of the RCF FORUM 6000 conference system. This board adds features: Up to 180 DMS 6410 microphone consoles, USB port to connect the system to a PC, RS 485 port (alternative to the USB port), Anti-feedback processor, useful to avoid feedbacks due to loudspeakers too close to microphones, loudspeaker high volume and many open microphones at the same time. Included is the software FSW 6000 that manage and control the conference system.
